This photo is all about cycling and touring—one guy, one bike, and an endless road. And perfect weather! Marcos shot this photo on the road to Serra do Umbú at São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. You’ve got to love it.
We love our bikes and everything that goes with them, right? And we never tire of looking at them. At least I don’t, and if I’m to judge from what others tell me, I’m not alone. So each Sunday I’ll publish a bike related picture. Most of the time the picture will be a photo, but I’ll also include drawings, paintings, sculptures, and any other representation of a bike or bike stuff. Morro da Borussia (Borussia Hill), Osório, RS, Brasil Every year hundreds of thousands of tourists pass by this location, one of the last stands of natural Atlantic rain forest in southern Brazil. The tourists do not go up there because they’re in a hurry to go to the shores of Rio Grande do Sul. By ignoring this part of the country, they miss a beautiful place with lots of natural vegetation, waterfalls and many trails that make this location one of the favorite destinations of mountain bikers who live in southern Brazil. Take some time to enjoy the photos I shot in this area. You will discover the reason this is called Osório, the “Wind Capital in Brazil.”
A cada ano centenas de milhares de turistas passam por este local, um dos últimos remanescentes de mata atlântica no sul do Brasil. Mas os turistas não sobem até lá porque todos estão com pressa em chegar ao litoral do Rio Grande do Sul.
Eles deixa de ver um lugar lindo com muita vegetação natrual, cachoeiras e muitas trilhas que fazem deste local um dos destinos favoritos dos mountain bikers do sul do Brasil.

Caraá, Osório, RS, Brasil This is another example of a great moutain biking destination in Brazil. This time I had a chance to ride on almost deserted paved and gravel country roads, and “enjoy” the 100-degree Fahrenheit (and higher!) summer temperatures.
Um outro olhar sobre este ótimo local para pedalar mountain bikes no Brasil. Deste vez tivemos a oportunidade de pedalar em estradas de asfalto e chão batido praticamente desertas, e aproveitar as temperaturas que passam dos 40 graus no verão.
