I love the light of this time of year, when the sun is fast making the southward journey away from the northern hemisphere. It’s especially beautiful as autumn approaches and the leaves begin to change from green to a fiery mix of oranges, reds, and yellows. Here along The River the early morning sun casts long shadows over ancient bedrock and illuminates the burgundy-colored maple leaves on an island.
