Beating the Bonk With the Fastest Pasta You’ll Ever Make

 
Do you commute by bike? Go on long leisurely rides? Bushwhack the backcountry? Run the trails? Paddle in gales? Whatever you do to stay fit, recharge the mental batteries, and enjoy life, you have to keep the internal engine stoked or you’ll bonk. Pasta’s an obvious choice for dinner, even if you’re on tour or in the backcountry. It’s hearty, tasty, and easy to pack. Almost everyone loves it, and it’s rich in carbs, too. But there’s a catch. Pasta can be a little fussy to prepare. You need one big pot to boil the water for the pasta itself, plus another, smaller pot for the sauce. The mere thought bogs me down when I’m tired and hungry. And it’s a lot to ask of a typical camp stove, too, when juggling a couple pots is a pain, and doing so on a wood fire isn’t much easier. The result?
