Surf pummels Maine’s rugged rocky coast, throwing spray high and wide, but. In the face of this tumult a defiant seagull holds fast, and Captain Winston Shaw was on site to capture the scene. When he’s not guiding nature watchers during his Sea Venture Custom Boat Tours out of Bar Harbor, Shaw’s bicycling (off-road and ‘bents), hiking, snowshoeing, or canoeing , often with camera in hand.
As we face the coming year, let’s hope that we can maintain the confidence shown by this gull!
